A power of attorney is a document by which one person authorizes another to perform the actions specified in the power of attorney and to represent interests before third parties.
ESTABLISHMENT OF POWER OF ATTORNEY:
-
To draw up a power of attorney, the personal presence of the person issuing the power of attorney, his/her passport and the registration number of the taxpayer's registration card (previously indicated as the TIN) are required.
-
In the power of attorney, you can specify several authorized persons who will act independently of each other.
-
After a power of attorney is drawn up, its data is entered into the Unified Register of Powers of Attorney (an electronic database of all powers of attorney drawn up on the territory of Ukraine).
-
The power of attorney is signed on behalf of the legal entity by its head. For this, he must provide the notary with his passport, documents confirming his authority, and legal entity documents.
-
One of the frequent questions is the procedure for revocation/cancellation of the issued power of attorney. This procedure is very simple, you need to go to any notary, not necessarily the one that issued you the power of attorney, and inform about the desire to cancel the power of attorney. According to your data, the notary will find this power of attorney in the electronic database and will make an application for downloading the power of attorney on your behalf. All you have to do is to inform the attorney and possible third parties for whom the power of attorney was issued about the fact of the cancellation of the power of attorney.
We remind you that the personal presence of the attorney is not required; it is enough for you to know his Last Name, First Name, Patronymic, and his place of residence.
Some organizations, institutions, and banks require that an extract from this register be submitted with the notarized power of attorney as confirmation of the registration of the power of attorney. We advise you to obtain it from a notary when certifying the power of attorney.
A seal is affixed to the power of attorney from a legal entity.
